10-17: Monday:

Speech
TIWL: to identify and practice the steps of conflict resolution.
1. nonwritten QOD – Which step of Dewey's conflict resolution do you feel would be
the most difficult to accomplish? Explain.
2. Unit 2 Test in 7 days. Fill in study guide during QOD time this week. Test will
cover Perceptions & Misperceptions, Interpersonal Vocabulary & Skills, and Group
Roles and Stages. Study Guides are due Friday.
3. Continue Group Communication Unit. (Practice KISSES!)
a. Correct Conflict Resolution papers.
b. Share Conflict Resolution in groups.
4. HOMEWORK - Dominoes interview reflections are due TOMORROW!
5. If time, work on test study quide.

Theater 1:
TIWL: to understand the basics of play rehearsals and to select a backstage crew.
1. Warm up.
2. Read The Play’s the Thing and select backstage crews and acting parts.
3. Schedule lip syncs for tomorrow.
4. Auditions this week – Wednesday and Thursday after school!!

10-18: Tuesday:

Speech
TIWL: to identify the four major group stages.
1. QOD – FILL IN YOUR STUDY GUIDES. TEST in ONE WEEK. Study guides due
this Friday.
2. Turn in your Dominoes interview reflections.
3. Transition Activities
a. Hand out past papers.
b. Reflect and fill out the Group Roles Awareness papers. Turn them in.
c. FINISH any last job interviews.
4. Continue Group Communication Unit. (Practice KISSES!)
a. Group Stages notes.
b. Practice group stages with Crippled Ship activity.
5. Begin thinking about a topic for a 2-3 minute Song and Artist Speech.
We will organize this speech next week and perform it the week after.
Find a song with lyrics (appropriate for school!) that represent you.

1. Warm up.
2. Begin performing lip syncs!
3. Schedule lip syncs for tomorrow.

use task, maintenance and leadership roles.
1. Test Tuesday. Fill in study guide during QOD time this week. Due Friday.
2. Pass back past papers.
3. Group Communication Unit. (Practice KISSES!)
a. Begin Group Mandala activity practicing task, maintenance & leadership roles.
4. Think about a topic for a 2-3 minute Song and Artist Speech.
We will organize this speech next week and perform it the week after.
Find a song with lyrics (appropriate for school!) that represent you.

TIWL: to evaluate my use of space with slightly exaggerated mouth and body
movements.
1. Hand out evaluation papers. Read directions from one block.
2. Begin lip sync evaluations. Watch 90 seconds (or more) of each lip sync, then
evaluate. BE SURE TO LEAVE ONE BLOCK TO EVALUATE YOURSELF.
