10-31: Monday:

Speech

TIWL: to organize an informative speech and outline note cards.
1. QOD - What are the 3 keys items to include in a conclusion?
2. Library: Finish typing your speech with all the sections as described in the
Formula for Writing Speeches.
3. Transfer key words and phrases to outlined cards.
4. LABEL THE SECTIONS OUTSIDE THE MARGINS WHEN FINISHED.
Also, give Mrs. Cox a copy when finished.
5. Also, make sure your examples from the yellow Formula packet have been
filled in since it will be graded Wednesday.

Theatre I

TIWL: (stage crew) to write back stage possibilities while blocking
the play and to learn my positions on the stage.
1. Finish blocking the play and write blocking on your script. EVERYONE.
2. New seating chart.
3. Choose a crew chairperson. Begin writing back stage goals and plans.

11-1: Tuesday:

TIWL: to understand the basic delivery components
1. QOD - List several items you feel are important for a great speech
delivery.
2. View speech evaluation - delivery section.
3. Delivery Notes
4. Watch great delivery examples.
5. PRACTICE YOUR MANUSCRIPT or OUTLINE TONIGHT.
6. Also, make sure your yellow Formula packet has been filled in with examples
since it will be graded Wednesday - TOMORROW.

Theatre I

TIWL: read back stage responsibilities and write a plan for your crew.
1. Read the responsibilities of each back stage crew and share summaries with
the class.
2. Begin writing back stage plan.
3. Memorize at home!!!

11-2: Wednesday:

Speech
TIWL: to evaluate my vocal delivery and visual delivery.
1. QOD – Which delivery components are body language and which are paralanguage.
Give one example of each.
2. Hand back past papers. TURN IN YOUR YELLOW PACKETS.
3. Film, watch and evaluate your delivery.
4. If time, discuss exercises for improving delivery.
5. Homework - Practice your speech tonight!

Theatre I
TIWL: back stage crews and begin a writing plan for your crew.
1. Finish sharing summaries with the class.
2. Continue writing back stage plan.
3. Memorize at home!!!

11-3: Thursday:

Speech
TIWL: to practice improving my vocal/visual delivery and write a plan to improve.
1. QOD – What is the difference between a thesis and a preview?
**** Pass back yellow Formula for Organizing Speeches.
2. Read and practice how to improve delivery.
3. Write your delivery plan for improvement.
4. Make sure Mrs. Cox has checked off your delivery plan before you leave.
5. Speeches begin Tuesday. Practice!!

TIWL: to continue developing the plan for your back stage crew.
1. Continue writing back stage plan. Share your progress with the class.
2. Memorize at home!!!
