communication? Explain.
2. Finish last speeches.
3. Begin Chapter 1&3 Definition Sheets Turn in the sheets.

1. Begin Charades in partners.

9-7: Wednesday:
Speech
TIWL: more basic communication terms
1. QOD –– If you had to choose, would you rather work in public or
mass communication and why?
2. Group work on vocabulary memory strategy.
3. Correct Chapter 1 questions.
4. Begin Communication Model Speech instructions. Due Tuesday, 9/13.

1. Individual Charades - Audience graded on focusing. Participants graded on
participating and following the Charades instructions.

9-8: Thursday:
Speech
TIWL: to use the communication model terms in a script with my partner.
1. QOD – Give one example of a time you experienced intrapersonal
communication.
2. Read directions for Communication Model Partner Speech
a. Read sample manuscript and view grading rubric
b. Select a partner
c. Fill out Communication Model Script Set Up sheet
d. Decide on the types of pictures you will need for your poster and bring them
tomorrow!! Or discuss what you want on your Power Point slide.

Theatre I
TIWL: to learn memorization techniques AND to cooperate in a mature manner
and participate in movement.
1. Begin Jabberwocky
2. 2 stanzas due tomorrow!
3. More movement exercises.

9-9: Friday:
Speech
TIWL: to use the communication model terms in a manuscript.
1. QOD - Give an example of using proxemics to communicate at
school.
( * * * Finish speeches of absentees.)
2. Finish filling out Communication Model Script Set Up sheet ---
(at least your character names and context).
3. Write a draft of your script with ALL the vocabulary words included.
Begin with the context!
4. If you finish your manuscript, show Mrs. Cox, then begin creating your
poster or designing Power Point slide.
5. Speeches begin Tuesday. Practice your script over the weekend!
6. 10 points for your use of time today!

Theatre I
