9-12: Monday:

Speech
TIWL: to use the communication model terms in a poster or Power Point slide.
1. QOD - (None today. We will begin Tuesday this week.)
2. Go to library with partner. Create poster today or your Power Point or type
your manuscript.
3. Double check your manuscript and make sure you have included all
vocabulary words underlined with explanations or examples.
4. Mrs. Cox will also need one copy of your manuscript by tomorrow.
5. Power Points need to be saved in the Homework Dropoff folder!!

6. If time, practice using your manuscript and pointing
to your poster or power point.
7. Speeches begin tomorrow. Practice with your partner!
8. 10 points for your use of time today!
9. Formulate a “Use it” answer.

1. Continue memorizing Jabberwocky 3rd stanza.
2. 4 stanzas due tomorrow! TEST ON THURSDAY.
3. Watch Alice in Wonderland.

9-13: Tuesday:

Speech
TIWL: to practice using the poster and script with my partner.
1. QOD – Give an example of a context for your favorite movie or T.V. show.
2. Finish your project in the library.
2. Practice using your manuscript while pointing to your poster or power point.
3. Have your green vocabulary page out and ready to be graded.
4. Speeches begin today and tomorrow after practicing and vocal warm-ups.
5. Formulate a “Use it” answer.

Theatre I
TIWL: to visualize Jabberwocky for memorization
1. Continue Jabberwocky 4rd stanza. Mini quiz on these 4 stanzas.
2. 5 stanzas due tomorrow! TEST ON THURSDAY.
3. Continue watching Alice in Wonderland.

9-14: Wednesday:

Speech
TIWL: to review communication model terms and to be an attentive audience
member.
1. QOD - Give an example of how you encoded a message recently.
2. Vocal warm-ups and present Communication Model Speeches.
3. Formulate a “Use it” answer.

Speech
TIWL: to be a good audience member by listening attentively.
1. QOD _- Explain why the communication model speeches are either
public (one to group) or mass communication.
2. Vocal warm-ups and present Communication Model speeches.
3. Begin Listening Unit with listening exercise.
4. If time, read and fill in the Listening Word Hunt from Chapter 4.
5. Formulate a “Use it” answer.

Theatre I
TIWL: how to clearly pantomime

2. Create Machines homework - DUE TOMORROW!
3. Pantomime exercises.

9-16: Friday:

Speech
TIWL: to comprehend and remember listening terms.
1. QOD – Explain why paralanguage is considered nonverbal
communication and give 2 examples.
2. Hand back all past papers.
3. Present LAST Speeches.
4. Fill in Chapter 4 Listening Word Hunt. Anything not done is homework.
5. Chapter 1-4 Test next Thursday!
Study Chap 1 & 3 vocab (pink), Communication Model vocab (green),
Listening Word Hunt (pink) and QODs. The pink sandwich!!
6. Formulate a “Use it” answer. Turn in your QODs.

Theatre I
TIWL: to cooperate in a mature manner and participate in movement.
1. Get out your machines homework and place on your desk.
2. Get in your groups and decide on the best two machines to perform.
3. Practice Group Machines and perform if time.
